pdvs540gh-18th century European emerald, diamond and silver cross
A highly important engraved silver cross, channel set with sixteen 16) square and rectangular emerald cut natural emeralds, inlaid into a cross-shaped design.
The entire piece measures approximately 66 x 33 mm, with a top section serving as a bail attached to the cross set to allow movement.
The overall condition is very good with slight wear and one missing small diamond on the top section.
The reverse side is delicately engraved with intricate scroll patterns that echo the lyrical design of the spiritual work of art.
